An early-18th century, long, 10-12 seater, oak trestle table
10133
The two plank, 1.5", oak top has some old patches and metal staples at either end. There are two patches along the side edges, and some light shaving, most likely due to old woodworm damage. The top is secured to an oak frame with iron bolts, one of which is of recent manufacture. The trestles have an elegant, silhouette and stand on sleigh feet one of which has an old patch. The table is supported by a single stretcher which has slight, old worm damage. Excellent original colour and patina. English, first half of the 18th century.
