The plank top with three moulded panels. Fitted with later hinges, probably in the early 18th century. Opening to reveal a candle box on the right hand side. The lock is an 18th century replacement, the iron escutcheon is original. The frieze has crisp gadrooning above two, fine, moulded panels. The sides panelled Standing on stile feet. Excellent original colour and patina. English, first half of the 17th century.
