Decorated with a chinoiserie scence of a lady holding a fan reclining against a bamboo tree stump, with a branch arching over her, and an insect flying nearby. The rim with three shaped panels of bamboo foliage, and trellis diaper interposed. Blue on a pale blue glaze. In original condition. Probably Bristol, Temple Back, Thomas Cantle, second quarter of the 18th century.
