The large, single plank top has a solid moulded edge. The frieze is fitted with three drawers on each side, and panels with finely carved heads interposed and at the ends. The drawers are faced with acanthus leaf mouldings, have wooden knobs and are lined in silk. The splayed, baluster and block turned base has an unusual, central, stretcher with the same turnings configured in two horizontal rows supporting three small vertical rows. Excellent original colour and patina. Second half of the 17th century.
