The one piece top has an exceptional patina. The frieze has a central, finely carved geometric panel. The two short drawers have crisp, scroll, chip carving, original iron escutcheons on their worn velvet backing, original lock, and replaced iron drop handles. The doors and the side have four moulded panels. The doors retain their original hinges, catches and escutcheon, the iron knob is replaced. The leaf, chip carving below the drawers and at the ends is fine and crisp. Excellent colour and patina. Second half of the 17th century.

This cupboard is rare being of such small proportion. It displays excellent chip carving and ironwork for which Spanish furniture is so well regarded. The colour and patina, particularly of the one piece top, are excellent.
