A late 17th century, oak cabinet with a fitted, teak interior enclosing secret drawers

The plank top in two sections, cleated and faced with a moulded edge. The cupboard with two doors decorated with applied, geometric mouldings. The hinges original, the lock and escutcheon later. The interior with sixteen small drawers veneered in teak and faced with oak mouldings, and enclosing secret drawers standing on bun feet. Flemish or English, fourth quarter of the 17th century.

As an optional extra to create a freestanding piece as an alterative to a table cabinet a contemporary painted steel and bronze console table base was commissioned for this cabinet. See images. The pricing does not include this piece which is listed separately on the site.
