A map of the world on a globular projection, exhibiting particularly the nautical researches of capn. James Cook, F.R.S., London, 1794, revised to 1799September 18, 2019 2:03 pm
Wall-map on four sheets joined, the title and dedication printed from seperate sheets, in contemporary wash and outline colour, laid on the original cloth backing by James Thomson of Edinburgh, the linen bearing his trade advertisment (damaged), with the original green trimming and wooden rollers, varnished, two areas of loss affecting the right hand border and imprint, and some cracking to the paper along the lower roller in blank margin. a good example of the type.
