
A late-17th century, oak chest of drawers with a lift-up top and applied decoration
September 18, 2019 3:03 pmIn two parts. The lift-up, plank top with an applied moulded edge, opening to reveal a large, deep, compartment. The front with working lock and divided into three sections and decorated with 17th centuy ornament; cabuchon mouldings, split balusters and fretwork. The bottom part with two drawers with original escutcheons and locks. The sides panelled with a repeat of the applied decoration.
