In two parts. The plank top is made from two boards, and faced with a cleated, moulded edge. The top part has a dentil frieze above two single drawers flanking two secret drawers. A large single drawer below with split balusters either side and a central escutcheon and cabuchon. The drawers all with moulded fronts and snakewood inlaid panels, and oak lined. The esuctchon and brasses are later replacements. The bottom part with a dentil moulded frieze above two doors with snakewood inlaid moulded panels. The central escutcheon, working lock and hinges, are later replacements. The interior has three oak drawers with original iron handles. The sides have moulded panels and the left side has 3 ‘ES’ stamps on the top part and one on the bottom. Excellent colour and patina.
