
A late-18th, early-19th century, coach panel painted with the Bathurst family crest
September 18, 2019 2:07 pmThe crest blazoned ‘On a Wreath An Arm embowed in chain mail holding in the hand all proper (in natural flesh tones) a club Or’. As no coronet of rank is shown it must relate to someone other than the head of the family who has been an Earl since 1772 and was previously a Baron.
The crest painted on a dark green ground with a black edge.
