The 1½ inch thick, detachable top is made from three planks of oak and faced with a deep, solid moulded edge. The top can be fixed to the base with pegs. The frieze has a moulded edge and the table stands on bold,3 1/2 inch thick, baluster turned legs joined by square stretchers on bun feet. Lovely mellow colour and lustruous patina. In original condition.
