In two parts. The oak top in two parts and faced with a solid moulded edge. The upper section with a shallow, single drawer with a projecting, central tablet above a deep drawer with elaborate, cushion and geometric moulding. The bottom section with two smaller drawers of the same size with the same geometric moulding giving the illusion of one deep drawer and thus balancing the deep drawer above. The drawers are all decorated with the finest cushion and geometric, moulding of the period using walnut, snakewood, & fruitwood veeners. The drawers are lined in oak and have replaced brass escutcheons and drops. The oak sides are panelled. Standing on replaced bun feet. Second half of the 17th century.
