A rare long set of 12, Antiquarian, Renaissance-style, Fruitwood, Upholstered, Open Armchairs

- Rare to find a set of 12 of a Renaissance-style armchair, in 35 years of dealing I have not come across a set of this model
- The model evolved from the backstool and was one of the first types of upholstered armchair and is a robust design with Classic form
- Traditionally upholstered, including the backs, in a woven floral striped textile in tones of gold, red and blue
Strong, sturdy and suitable for everyday use
- The fruitwood is a lovely warm soft colour with a lustrous patina

The rectangular back and seats upholstered in a modern machine woven floral striped textile in tones of gold, red and blue. The column and ball turned arms terminating in roundels, the legs, side, front and central stretchers similarly turned. Robust and ready to use. Suitable for everyday use.
