A rare, small, late-17th century, pollard oak & walnut, ebony strung, chest of drawers

The burr top with an exceptional patina, ebony strung, crossbanded and faced with a moulded edge. The frieze with two short drawers above three long drawers with ebony stringing and crossbanding, all oak lined. The brasses and escutcheons replaced, the top locks removed, and repairs to some lock plates. Standing on replaced bun feet. Excellent original colour and patina. Fourth quarter of the 17th century.
