The centres decorated with the initials “TRE”, above the date “1749”, inside a double-circle medallion. The upper initial “R” represents the surname, and the lower initials “T” and “E” the christian names of a husband and wife. The well and rims decorated with four large sprays of the mimosa pattern with butterflies interposed. Decorated in blue on a pale blue glaze, the edges brown. Glaze loss to rims, and restoration to a break in one plate. Probably Bristol or Wincanton, 1749.
