The front decorated with the ‘Queen of Sheba’ standing beside a river, holding a bouquet, with an attendant holding a parasol over her and a child neaby. Surrounded by a trellis diaper border with four artemisia leaves interposed. The rim decorated with three repeats of a stylized spray of peonies and trailing stems, and trellis diaper border. The rim brown. The back inscribed with the initials ‘I, B, M’ and the date 1749. The rim with three whiplash markings. Painted in blue on a bluish ground. Rim chips. Probably London, 1749.
